These are a couple of my WIP for this Wednesday. I am dying a silk in some elderberry juice- I have been calling it all part of the slow toy movement. I used the instructions from Herbal Roots and my juice has been concocting up since Sunday outside, today I drained off the berries and added the alum and silk and will let it sit outside for a couple more days in the late August sunshine.
In the meantime I worked out some sketches for a wood figure I have wanting to do for a couple weeks- Elder Mother. Hopefully I will get her done and she will accompany the silk. I like her witchy-ness going into fall! After all aren't most witches amazing herbal wise women.
