Ever notice how incredible fresh squeezed lemonade tastes soooo good! I squeezed out several lemons yesterday and made a batch of lemonade for all the neighbor kiddos. I managed to get a glass before the kids drank in all the lemony goodness and added some fresh peppermint from the herb garden and curled up with the May issue of Herbal Roots to plan out some more herbal good times with the boys.
One of my favorite parts that Kristine adds to the monthly zine is the Herbal Lore. Reading it this month reminded me of this time when I was pregnant with Silas and I had a high fever and felt so hot that I was sure I was getting too hot for the baby and creating a hot tub situation for this little baby inside! I called my midwife and she said make a cup of peppermint tea and take a bath- did the trick! After reading Herbal Lore from this months issue I will kindly remember the story of Agnes! Kuddos again to Kristine for such an enjoyable zine!
If you are a lover of the ol mason jar too, there is a fun give away that a Midwest Etsy favorite is doing for a slumped mason jar on their blog if you want to check it out- here is too sweet dreams of lemons, peppermint, and mason jars!
