wow, you would not believe the past few days of amazing fog there has been in these parts. I could not help but try and snap a picture of this as I was leaving The Womb Room the other night after another amazing Crafty Mama gathering. We visited, crafted an amazing batch of tea that we drank and then were able to all take some home- you would not believe the smell! You should try this with your friends- each bring and herb and see what tea comes up!
The rest of the weekend included a quick mama trip to the flea market where I found a few more treasures including a couple more vintage pots for my family cloth/mama transition, and then a fabulous set of heart cookie cutters and old plate. Granted I could have gotten these at Michaels I am sure, but something about getting this little stack from the flea market made it more of a treasure for me. I had seen the idea in the most recent Martha Stewart Living about using cookie cutters for separating out candy as a gift. I craftified it up a bit and we have been using it for late afternoon tea, I fill the hearts with healthy small snacks, make a pot of tea and we sit down to reading, crafting, etc. The first round included dried cherries, dried pears, and nuts. Just a fun size and makes it fun!We finished up the weekend with a family dance- barn style at school, Root Children, and more tea coming up with some ideas for homemade Valentines! Silas and I drew some monsters that ultimately became these shy but very loving twins that went to the shop. Hope all of your weekends were cuddly and warm- anyone else getting some of this fog?If you signed up for the swap you should have received your partners name from me. I also created a Flickr set so you can share pictures along the way of your treasure hunting for the swap. Have fun- off to bed for now!
