marshmallows-check, ruler-check, crayons-check, chiminea fire-check, skittles-check, friends-check
Our first official marshmallow experiment of the summer was successful last night. We created our log book, gathered our scientific tools to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the results.
June 3 in the year of 2009-
Analysis of the 1/2 inch skittle into the 1 inch marshmallow toasted over a chiminea fire consisting of birch twig kindling and scrap poplar wood from crafting.
The air tempterature- 61 degrees.
Ranking system of a scale of 1-7 stars, 7 being the highest.
After a thorough analysis of toasted marshmallow inserted with skittles it was determined to be liked by the kids, the adult factor of myself and my friend Lisa ranked it on the lower scale. The contrast of of crunchy, high sweetness of the skittle against the smooth liquid center of the marshmallow was not much to our liking. We also discovered that the skittles did not melt inside the marshmallows.
Next on the list strawberries from the boys field trip with daddy to a local sustainable farm today to pick fresh berries- I think I am going to like these better tonight!
