Happy Earth Day all! I am participating in the Natural Kids Etsy Team promo today. All orders today will get a free little Earth Monster! Why the heck a monster? Well they are actually little scraps of wood left from when I make the marble towers and they end up usually being monsters that the boys and I make to give. I thought they would make a perfect little sustainable extra for today! And well you know monsters- they get a little hungry so they begged me to send a little chocolate earth along on their journey!
I wanted to announce the winner of the Mama/Son Earthday set also this morning- my Silas drew the name while eating his dark chocolate earth to celebrate Earth Day and the winner is Sherie from Jumbleberry Jam!- Congrats I will be sending this out to you this week and be making another set for the shop! Thanks so much to everyone for participating and the book that inspired it was The Wump World- actually written a few years before Dr. Suess did The Lorax but just as great of an environmental message that leaves you with hope at the end. We love to read it every year at Earth Day.
I also wanted to shout out a big happy birthday wish to Miss Frances today who is an Earthday baby turning 2! I had the honor of making her a waldorf birthday ring- many happy wishes Frances! I have made these out of pine in the past and this time did it out of poplar- ohh la la it was so nice as a birthday ring!
